WHO ARE WE?
BABMA Scholars Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through music, arts, education, leadership development, and scholarship opportunities. We believe that talent, creativity, and purpose should never be limited by financial hardship or lack of opportunity.
Our Foundation exists to inspire, educate, and equip aspiring musicians, artists, performers, creatives, and future leaders by providing scholarships, mentorship, educational programming, and access to resources that help transform dreams into reality.
At BABMA, we recognize that the arts have the power to heal, unite communities, build confidence, and create lifelong opportunities. We are committed to fostering excellence, creativity, and leadership while encouraging every individual to pursue their God-given gifts with courage and determination.
Our story
BABMA Scholars Foundation was founded in loving memory the Founder and Chairwoman’s mother, Barbara Ann Brewton, whose life continues to inspire the mission of this organization.
Barbara Ann Brewton believed deeply in the power of music, the arts, education, and faith to transform lives. She encouraged others to dream beyond their circumstances, develop their talents, and never give up on their aspirations. Whether through words of encouragement, acts of kindness, or unwavering support, she consistently inspired family, friends, and members of her community to believe in themselves and pursue their purpose.
Her legacy was not measured by titles or recognition, but by the countless lives she encouraged to become something greater than they imagined possible.
The Foundation was established to carry that legacy forward by opening doors for future generations who possess talent, creativity, and ambition but may lack access to financial resources or mentorship. Every scholarship awarded, every student mentored, every artist supported, and every educational opportunity created honors Barbara Ann Brewton's enduring belief that dreams should be nurtured—not limited by circumstance.
why we were founded

• Support music, arts, and educational enrichment programs.
• Encourage leadership, entrepreneurship, and community service.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities.
• Help remove financial barriers that prevent individuals from pursuing their dreams.
• Foster creativity, confidence, and lifelong learning within underserved communities.
• Preserve and celebrate the importance of music and the arts as essential tools for education, healing, and personal growth.
Through these efforts, BABMA seeks to build a future where every individual has the opportunity to discover their gifts, develop their talents, and achieve their fullest potential.
